Hello there,

We're the people that did Sunshine Of Your Love if you saw that..

Well now we've just done our own original song. It's called Reflection Of Happiness. Basically.. We broke up from school on Friday and we're in Year11.. So school is done forever and we were quite upset by this :(. So we thought we'd write a song about what makes us happy and we came up with this.

We all take it in turn singing the verses. The first is Drew's (soon to be on this forum) and he also does the solo. Second is our main singer Jamie, he wrote the chorus and his verse. The verse after the solo is mine and I did the tune.

Now I know the quality of recording isn't superb, but a bit of feedback would be nice for two 15 year olds and a 16 year old :).

Cheers in advance :)

Very good considering your ages. The riff is good and I think the lyrics are solid. The song needs a bit of polishing with regards to the actual playing (recording quality isn't actually that bad) and the singing.

Needs drums too - and of course - needs more cowbell ;) :D

needs a drummer.. to be a bit more tight... rythmic.

good though.. seems like its a sad message that your putting through.. so its pretty clear.

the foundation is there....

Nice one. Needs drums.

The solo should be acoustic aswell, unless your gonna add drums and give the rythm guitar some electric juice aswel.

Good effort, a hell load better than what we sounded with our band when we were in year 11 lol. Still its the fun in being in a band that prevails over actualy sounding decent. As im sure you know by. :)

Cheers for replies guys :).

I know the recording is a bit naff but at the moment we're just happy to have something done that we can show to people.

Hopefully we can add to and improve it in the near future.

I thought the main singer you have did a pretty good job, and I enjoyed the guitar solo. It didn't really have much in the way of a hook, and the chords sounded a bit generic, usual fare stuff. I thought the vocal harmony bits were pretty cool, in the chorus I think.

All said, it's a damned good first effort; my first didn't sound anywhere near as accomplished as that. If you get a few free programs like Audacity and Hammerhead and learn to use them, the next recording should be even better. Hammerhead's a drum generator.

I look forward to hearing anything else you churn out :)
