Seems the Welsh are foregoing their robust image as stout rugby playing lads and miners. First the WRU (Welsh Rugby Union) banned the singing of Tom Jones' worldwide hit Delilah, in case it led to anyone hearing it sticking a knife in their unfaithful partner when they got home.

Now the Senedd has banned the airing of GB News on their internal TV system as it "doesn't reflect their values", whatever they may be....

Next they'll want Prince Harry down on one knee in supplication for singing along with Tom's rendition at the late Queen's Jubilee bash. All very jazz handy.... Get a grip boyos.
 
Seems reasonable given the standard of content and presenters.

I will say though, there seems to be no healthy middle ground on any of this stuff - Welsh Parliament, etc. seem to be going one way with far too much agenda lead nonsense while you have GB News going the other way with counter-points which are just as much nonsense...

In a much wider way I really hope at some point, in the probably distant future, we look back in retrospect on this period as a cautionary tale.

I don't watch GB News directly, my exposure is almost exclusively snippets on youtube/this forum, and for good reason, I don't like many presenters.

However, I also don't watch BBC news either, and if you search for BBC OFCOM breaches, you'd find they are equally as bad, they've also had OFCOM rule a breach of impartiality recently and have come under criticism from OFCOM in their not too distant report.

So basically, if you ban one, you should ban all.. the absolute worse thing that can happen is everyone gets spoon fed a very squinted view of the world by the BBC..

But this is Wales for you.. having lived there, and having my wife work in the Senedd for a few years (doing admin for the then health secretary) all I can say is that on the inside it feels like the lunatics are running the asylum..
