First Time Build £1500 Bitfenix Prodigy

You will need a 24pin, 8 pin, and the GPU which i think is a 8pin and a 6pin but check that. you will need sata ones aswell.

I've made some further changes to the build, i've now decided to go against my initial judgement and water cool the CPU with a Corsair H80. I have also changed the from Bitfenix fans to Corsair 120mm high pressure fans. These will be used for both the front intake and water cooling radiator and I will use a Corsair 120mm low pressure fan as a exhaust fan at the top of the case.

Change the HDD to a 2.5" HDD and get an ssd for windows drive

The you can remove the HDD cages and place a 230mm fan in the front allowing for maximum airflow across the board and GPU

Trust me... Its the best thing to do.

If you use a 230mm at the front you won't need any exhaust fans apart from the H80 one.. As the case is well ventaleted anyway.

Dear god, another Prodigy when trying to go small? You do realise it's bigger than some Micro ATX cases, yeah?

Either dump the Prodigy and put it in a Sugo SG05-450 or go to Micro ATX and put everything in a TJ-08 - yes, it's smaller than the Prodigy.

If you go SG05, mount the H80 vertically to fit, but you'll have to locate your 2.5" drives elsewhere (flip the PSU upside down and stick an Akasa dual 2.5" mount to the underside). You'll also have to run an optical drive externally.

The 450W PSU is great - extreme bods are running a GTX680 off it with no hassles.

Nothing wrong with the prodigy mate....

Apart from the fact it's huge and defeats the point of going Mini ITX. Other than that it is a good, solid case.

I just prefer to actually go small if I'm intending to go small, otherwise go Micro ATX and grab a TJ-08 and STILL be smaller than the Prodigy.
