First time build - £800

    Dont want the case to be too flashy so think I'll stick with the Antec. Only reason I chose the ram was because it looked good and had low timings. :p Is there any benefit from low timings for gaming/browsing?

    AMD chips do like lower timings, so with that in mind+your happy with the case(which is good) then go for it

    Thanks very much for the help stulid :)

    Do you know anything about the warranties on the AMD cpu's? Will using an aftermarket cooler void it? I asked about it in the cpu section but didnt get any helpful replies :(

    there's absolutely no way of knowing if you have used a different cooler.

    Lower timings will make very very very little difference.

    about the 1600 MHz - The RAM almost certainly has an XMP, which you can enable from the BIOS, that will change the BCLK to 160 and drop the CPU multiplier.

    This, seriously you'd never know the difference, don't be fooled by the manafacturers hype.
