[Edited to include OCUK basket. Had to include 3600 processor but will likely wait and get the 2600 instead to keep closer to budget.]

Hi, I've included my draft part list below for an ~£600 first time build gaming PC. I'd just like to be able to play current games at 1080p and decent settings, or at least the best I can for the budget. ~£600 is the budget not including OS / peripherals.

This is all new to me so any tips would be great, I've not built before but I've taken some advice from people I know who have.

Couple of specific questions:

1. I believe that the SSD I've picked should be straightforward enough to install on this motherboard, but the people I've spoken to haven't used NVME before - could there be any issues with this?
2. I'm not quite sure if I need the extra fans, my general impression is that more fans can't hurt but any tips on these would be great.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £771.42 (includes shipping: £12.60)

Welcome aboard.

That memory is way too expensive.
Here's same performance kit for £75.

And for "second gen"/Zen+ 2600 3000MHz would be surer to work with XMP

Samsung drives are even more insanely brand scam overpriced.
You can get doubled capacity for the same.

(~45 prices aren't sensible for half the capacity)

For those parts only two extra fans is enough.
And if you care about noise Arctic P12 has lot smoother noise profile.

And that PSU is too expensive for outdated, low end already decade ago design.

It's been pointed out in another thread that that 520W Seasonic PSU doesn't live up to their name.
"Second gen" M/S12 is still Seasonic's own construction unlike third.
But that's simply high price for very old group regulated design and outdated efficiency.
If it were at least DC-DC that would make it better.
