Gonna build a pc i want it to be as quite as possible thats the main aim of the new build. I have got the case (Antec P182), i just need help with the other components. These are the ones that i am planning on buying:

CPU:
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600

Mobo:
Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLi nForce 650

Ram:
GeIL 2GB PC6400C4

GPU:
GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB

PSU:
OCZ GameXStream 600w

HDD:
Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 NCQ 250GB SATA-II

DVD:
Samsung SH-S203BEBN 20x20 DVD±RW Dual Layer Serial ATA ReWriter

I will be doing moderate gaming on this machine, minor overclocking and i will be using windows vista.

1. Is the motherboard i picked good? is there a cheaper more suitable one?
2. Do i need a 600w psu?, or do i need more/less? Is there a cheaper option?
3. Is the stock cooler of the CPU loud?, If it is i want to replace with a Noctua NH-U12F; will this fit on the Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9?

Any help will be great!

P35 motherboards are more suited to overclocking Quad-Core chips, and generally seen as being the better all round motherboard :). Something like the Gigabyte P35 DS3R should work well for a similar price.

To be honest SLI isn't really worth it - just upgrade the card to the next generation. The Corsair 520w should be more than enough to power that PC.

Wouldn't get the Hitachi, seems the Samsung and WD drives are the ones to go for at the moment. Or a Seagate for a bit more but with a 5 year warranty.

recevied my case today and looking inside i wish to add another 120mm fan onto the top hard drive cage. The case included some wire clips which allow you to do this; my question is will the Noctua NF-S12 fit on the cage with the wire clips that the Antec p182 provided?
