Got the parts for my Computer yesterday 
and as stated in the title i'm new at this, I have been told that it is easy to build a PC so i did some research as to what is required to get the job done. Component list as follows
Antec 300 with basiq 55w psu, Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P motherboard,
AMD Phenom II X3 tri core 720 Black edition cpu, ATI 4830 Graphics Card,
Corsair XMS3 4gb DDR3 ram, Samsung spinpoint 320gb sata hdd.
I also used an 160 gb Western dgital hard drive and DVD re writer both of these are ide, it took a bit of time to put it all together but i got it finished.
Where i need help is on the Psu i have a load of wires left over on the unit and sockets, is this because i dont have sound cards and other bits to connect up. Also will i be OK to power it up as havent done so yet will post pics if need thanks in advance.
