This will be my first home-build and I've done a ton of research and studying my current PC to make sure that I can build it successfully, and am confident on that side of things.

The part where my brain just stops is as soon as I will press that power button for the first time.

I will have a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium ready to install on there, but I have no clue what to expect when I start the process.

Are there procedures I have to do before installing it?
How to I begin the installation?

If you could possibly refer a good guide to me or maybe explain it to me (if it isn't too long) then I would be very grateful.

Thanks.

It's very simple. Just boot from the DVD and follow the on screen instructions. At one point, it will give you the option to choose where you want to install Windows: just pick a hard drive, press format and click next.

To boot from the DVD you need to set the DVD drive to the highest priority. To do this you need to go into your BIOS by hitting DELETE when you start the PC. Then find an option for "Boot Priority" or something similar.

You wont even need to do that with Windows 7. Just pick a hard drive and click Next/OK. It will do the rest.
