Hi guys im a first time builder, and i've made a list of the parts that im getting, where im getting them from etc etc.

But one question, im looking at getting the Radeon HD 7750 1gb graphics card, and has anyone had any experiences with it? What games it can run at what fps?

I've seen online reviews say it will just about get 25-30 FPS on modern games, but there's loads of YouTube videos showing it running games at 40-50 FPS?

Any help please!:)

Any card below a 7850 is not the best card to buy. The 7770 cost over 2/3's of the 7850's price but has less than half the performance. If your going to get a graphics card get a 7850 or something like a second hand 6850 or 460. I own a 6850 and have considered selling it off because of how goof they are are for the price.

utube shows what the poster wants it to show, so any tom dick and harry can post there, tbh i don't watch utube for those reasons to get honest results, better to pick a website who you trust and take a few views, as some web site aren't that good either and can be biased for one reason or another.

with second hand, i'd only buy off someone i knew hadn't overclocked it etc as with most stuff now it's easy to damage it, and looking at it you wouldn't know.

the site here as a market place, but you need to have been here longer to get access to it, at least you have a chance then to ask more questions about it before you buy and also more come backs etc

be care full buying second hand unless the seller is high rated and does returns, so you don;t get burnt

Yeah i have a long time to save for stuff anyway, so i'll have a long time to decide what to do.Thinking of getting a Athlon II X4 CPU as well....Any good? Only have a small budget so I can't really spend loads, I just want something to play games at a decent rate in Full HD. I have a micro atx case already, so any suggestions into what to buy?

most on here will say get the APU Trinity Quad or Dual Core Processor

but whats your budget you would like to spend and what bits do you have already and can use and what do you need etc?

list them all, if you want, and someone will spec a build for you

And it will have to be micro atx build I think, due to the size of the case.

Already found a decent motherboard to fit it, model- Asus M5A78L-M/USB3

I see bacon has already chipped in with my advice lol

The 7750 is seriously meh for the price. A 2GB 7850 is really the only GPU I like to suggest buying new for serious gaming, pity the free games bundle has ended as that helped justify the extra £50 aswell as it having double the performance.

A 2nd hand 1GB 460 would be your best bet (avoid the 768Mb version and the SE), I've seen them (and the 1GB 6850) go for ~£50 on our MM. I had a mate message me last night as he had found a 2GB 460 for £90 2nd hand which would come with a warranty. I told him it's not bad for the price but again it's at a funny price and the 2GB 7850 would make more sense and have a longer warranty being new.

7750 vs 1GB 460

As you can see the 460 wins. It also adds CUDA support and PhysX. To add insult to injury the 460 in that benchmark is running at 675Mhz. Most 1GB 460s are factory overclocked, my EVGA was 763Mhz out of the box.....i've pushed it further and now I have just left it a 875Mhz (is capable of 900mhz). This basically makes it on par with the 6870

6870 vs 7750

If you give us a budget and tell us all the parts you require we can try and balance a build out for you :)

£350 Max really for the lot, except from the case.

Thanks a lot, really helpful being able to ask advice from someone who isn't a total spanner, and actually knows what he's on about.

£350 covers what exactly?

OS, monitor, keyboard and mouse?

No OS but you could use the developers edition of windows 8 for 3 months for free as a try before you buy. The IGP on these APUs is surprisingly capable for gaming and will get you up and going. You can drop in a dedicated GPU later on when you have the cash to do so. The mobo has HDMI output so you could hook it up to a HDTV if you don't have a monitor you can use

As you can see the OS eats a lot of your budget up. Maybe you would like to consider trying the DE version of windows 8 first and concentrate your cash now on the components.

The A8K is ok but the A10K has a better IGP for gaming.

Thanks very much. I will probably go for Windows 7 though :P

The motherboard won't fit in the case, it's Mini ITX only
