If you don't mind ATI this 6950 is a revision 1 card which can be flashed to make it a 6970 (got one myself and it is awesome) plus it is about £25 less than the 570

Also this case and power supply is a good deal if your not bothered about crossfire or SLI (The other power supply you have is a bit overkill if you are not bothered about two graphics cards) I will also save you another £70

Could use the money saved to get a nice 60gb SSD drive :D

I would be wary as there are some threads from people in the GPU section who have bought 'revision 1' cards which are advertised as flashable and have been sent later versions. If you do go for this option then make sure you do have a revision 1 card BEFORE any attempts of flashing as this can potentially damage the card and voids warranty.

Yeah any SATA drive will be compatible.

The RAM is compatible but I would advise against it as firstly you won't see any gaming performance increase from 8GB, secondly that particular RAM has very tall heatsinks which may conflict with the CPU cooler.

If you must get 8GB just go for the cheapest 1600MHz - the Corsair which I linked too earlier are very good and very cheap.

What card do you have now? You could always grab a second one of them and run them in CF/SLI

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-290-CS is this the RAM you are referring to?

I might go for 1x4GB stick if possible, the P67 has 4 DIMM-240 if i remember correctly, just planning for the future i want to be able to expand as high as possible, although it supports up to 32GB max 16GB should always be enough.

The PC primarily wont be a gaming PC although i do like the occasional shoot 'em' up. its mainly a media pc. would you suggest any alterations as this is the case. apologies i should have made the systems purpose clear in the original post.

in an earlier post SSD was mentioned as well, would this be beneficial?
