First time building a pc and im stuck

Quite a few things im stuck with really so need some help please.

Generally its the wiring and finding which parts go where... from the dvd drive I have an IDE cable, is there anything else that should be going to it?

My PSU (OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w) has an 8pin and a 4pin connector on it which at the moment are not connected to anything. I still need to put my graphics card in, power to the hard-drive. Power to 2 fans (antec 300 case) and have lots of different cables that came with the motherboard and PSU.

Also I have 2 wires, one HDA the other AC'97 which im not sure where to put?

Any help is greatly appreciated, i'll try and get pics asap.

I think i've actually sorted it all now

Only problem is connecting the graphics card.

I have two lots of 6pins on the actual card, a lead direct from the PSU with 4pins and a lead from my fans with a 6pin plug but only 4 contact points inside if that makes sence.

So what leads should go to the graphics card?

uh oh another modstream victim u need to use on 6pin connector already on the PSY then use a 2 molex to 6pin connector for the 2nd plug

I've used a 2 molex to 6pin on the fans which I connected to the motherboard, leaving the 6pin connector attached to nothing...

I just realised I have an 8pin lead direct from the PSU and a 4pin lead both attached to nothing.

I also have nothing attached to the graphics card, is it just power that needs to be going to the graphics card now?

the 4 and 8 pins are for the mobo only

the 6 and other converters to 8 are for the gfx card

Yea i think so lol. So on the PSU there are 2 8pin blocks.
I have 2 8pin to 6pin cables so use them from the psu to the gfx card

Right, everything now has a power supply from the PSU, but I still have cable coming out of the PSU doing nothing, i guess this is ok?
