First time car for a girl, 3k max?

The other half passed her test other week so she will want a car soon.

Whats best for under 3k?
I was thinking a polo 1.4?

I want somthing that is strong and no tin box, and the usual stuff, low insurance and all that.

for 3k you should get a new shape corsa 1.2.

good on fuel, cheap insurance and cheap to maintain. also theres loads of them about so theyre cheap.

my ex got one and in the 2 years shes had hers its not gone wrong once.

Just had a look on autotrader and you are looking at a 2001 model with average milage for about £3k. Look for a freestyle as they have lots of options over the bog standard models, some even came with AC as part of the package towards the end of the mark 5. They were available with the 1.25 engine which gives good mpg and insurance brackets.

Nissan Micra for ultra reliability and value for money... you would get a great one for 3k. Infact you would only need to spend 2k really.
