First time H440 build!

Hello everyone!

Firstly i would like to apologise, I know I've started a few threads and never plucked up the courage to actually build a PC (due to info provided or being a scaredy cat) BUT NO MORE!

I have bought all my parts and even though some are still in transit i have a few pictures. I have even undergone some extra light keyboard modding to fit with the colour scheme.

I hope you all stick with the thread an ill try and answer as many questions as possible. Thanks for any support provided.

Phobya RGB strips (x2) with a controller

I also didn't have a desk so IKEA saved me! (ill post some pictures)

BENQ XL2420Z monitor - this was a complete last minute WHY NOT moment

I already had a steel series mouse matt and razer Mamba mouse.

sorry to tell u but i don't think that ram works with asus boards
might just be the x79 boards
u tried it yet

After reading about it further its apparently something to do with the x79 chip set. It won't let the LEDs be controlled. So I'm ok it seems but thanks for the heads up. if i start to get problems i know where to look first.

But I would say a mechanical keyboard will go a lot better with your case

Backlit machanical for £40 (red) would be a dream right now.

I actually have a question i hope someone can help with.

i know i should test the parts outside the case just to make sure they all work before fitting them but the cooler i have is a closed loop water cooler. should i still fit that on my makeshift test bench? (aka antistatic mat)
