Pigeon on a country road - a thud on the bonnet, which left a perfect imprint of every feather in a chalky dust residue. Bird bounced off and presumably snuffed it in a field as there was no sign of the thing anywhere.
Another pigeon visiting a campsite, exploded under back wheel leaving a huge cloud of feathers in wake.
A mate claims to have hit a cat at night driving through a small village. He felt the thud, got out and found the cat in a nearby garden and decided to stove in its head with a golf club to put it out of its misery.
He then got a visit from the plod, investigating a complaint where some pensioner had seen him wander into her garden and beat her elderly cat to death without provocation. After giving his side of the story, he was let off with a warning.
The mangled partial remains of a cat were later discovered fouled in his OSF spring whilst investigating an unusual smell. I suspect he's talking bobbins but it amused me at the time
