first time ssd

After doing a bit of lurking on here to gauge the reliability of the current ssd's available and considering both my budget and needs I ordered the Intel 320 80gb (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-012-IN&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=910).

I had a few questions about it though, I'm wondering how it's best to get my OS onto it, and set it up to boot off the SSD.
My idea was to take everything I want off my current boot drive (steam etc), and move it onto a portable before removing the drive and changing bios to boot from disk for first time install onto ssd. Is this a decent way of doing things or am I missing out on an easier and more logical method.

Secondly, a slightly stupid question perhaps, does it come with the cables I'll need or do I need to grab them separately, if so which ones will I need?

Thanks
p.s. Hi guys, I'm new :D

Hi and welcome to the forums :) When you get your SSD you want to ensure AHCI is enabled in the BIOS then disconnect any HDD's from your system, connect the SSD into the first SATA port and install Windows 7. Run the Windows Experience Index assessment once your up and running which will disable auto defrag. As far as im aware you won't get a cable with the drive but it's just a standard SATA II cable you use anyway.
