First Time SSD

I have ordered the Samsung 128gb 830 Series SSD and im going to be installing my OS on it , just wondering is there anything special i need to take into consideration or do i install it just like a normal HDD ?

At worst you might need a driver for your OS to pick it up depending on how old your kit is. Install it like a normal HDD and enjoy the wicked speeds

Assuming that you're using Windows 7 or 8, it will automatically detect that you're using an SSD and configure itself appropriately.

, i havent installed windows in ages , will it let me wipe my storage drive when im installing windows on my SSD ?

Yarp, when installing just choose 'custom installation' and somewhere along the line it will display all your drives so you can organise/delete/format!

Im going to be using my 1tb second hardrive for all my downloads etc and my ssd for OS and games , is there settings i have to set for everyting to go to the storage drive automatically or do i just download them to the SSD and move them to 1TB

Of course you do!

If you use Chrome etc, choose the download location in options.

When you install a program you get the choice of where to install it, ensure to change the drive letter if you want to install it on the other drive.

remember to set to ahci mode for the sata ports in the bios before you install windows
