Hi,
I've just built a new PC and I'm new to overclocking, but have read internet posts regarding memory o/c, so I downloaded THAIPHOON BURNER Super Blaster - Free Edition version 16.1.1.0 build 1116 Cumulative, and Ryzen Dram Calculator 1.7.0.
My memory is 2X16Gig Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200 (CMD32GX4M2C3200C16). I have set the XMP profile in the UEFI and things are stable at 3214MHz, 1.38V CAS 16, as one might expect.
However, when I use Thaiphoon, it tells me that the DRAM manufacturer is Hynix, but when it comes to the memory part number it says H5AN8G8N??R-TFC.
The DRAM calculator wants to know whether ??R means CJR or DJR or MFR or AFR.
I have found one internet mention of this where the advice is to use MFR as input to the calculator, on the basis that its the oldest (worst) of the bunch, so its timings/voltages are a safe place to start.
Any ideas, anyone?
