Need some help with this.

I'm going to be upgrading my PC for the first time. All I really want to upgrade is the CPU and the graphics card.

Normally I'd just pick them out myself, but I don't know if I'll need anything else, such as a new PSU or something. Do I need to do something with Bios as well? I've honestly never done this before.

Anyway, It would be great if people could help pick out exactly what I need and what would be best.

I have a budget of £300

Specs:

Processor - AMD Athlon II X2 245 Processor 2.90GHz
Graphics Card - Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 1GB
RAM - 4GB
Operating System - Windows 7 64-bit
PSU - 450W ... not sure of the model honestly.

Need anything else?

So yeah... what should I replace my Processor and GPU with, under the budget of £300 and will I need to buy anything else to get them running and will I need to mess around with bios?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I couldn't find anywhere else to post this and I'm a noob :p

If you could find out what the PSU brand is that would help.

What motherboard have you got? (can use CPU-Z to help you find out)

What do you use your PC for?

Motherboard - Gigabyte Technology M61PME-S2P

That right? It's what showed in CPU-Z

PSU - Corsair Power 400w is what it says (eesh... think I need a better one)

It's a gaming PC. It's not really running games very well anymore so I think an upgrade is in order.
