First University Assignment Due In Thursday

Hi All, just getting nervouse, never done a Uni assignment before, and im not sure if what im doing will be up to scratch, this Assignment involves taking digital images, photoshoping them so that they look better/different/etc, and then documenting what you have done, what you think etc.

Right now I am working on my images, I have done 2 of 4, and I realy need opinions, on whether you think they will be up to scratch, if you think there are any improvements I can make etc.

I Am also wondering, how much detail do you need to go into, E.G For A-level I could write 200 pages about one thing... but I cant see him reading 200 pages from every student

Well Technicaly according to the university its my third, However I dont count the exams I had as Assignments :D
 
Count yourself lucky. I've had a midterm, one essay, have a presentation and an essay to do for next week, two more essays and a Japanese listening exam before Christmas.

lmao, I would edit out the sweary btw Its Games Computing, The first year is made up of 2 semesters each having 5 units:

Intro To Programing/Further Programing
Systems/Operating Systems
Creative Technologies (The one this is for)
Intro To Games Studies
Data/Networks/The Web

Don't worry, it'll get a lot harder, I did the course last year. :p

I should probably take a couple of photos for this aswell...
 
I am 3rd year and havent got any due dates to January it's just the way some unis work. Congrats to the OP in the first year, and second year for that matter, i started most of my assignments the evening it was due in

You on the same course, E.G Games Computing Year 1 at Lincoln then :eek: ?
 
I'm no expert on Photoshop, so won't pretend to be. However, I do love your choice of subject matter - very nice collection of buildings there :cool:. I must visit Lincoln sometime soon.
 
The telephone box one isn't too great. Really you want the "TELEPHONE" text to stand out a bit more. It looks washed out because of the brightness of the white background it's on. I take it that one is a work in progress though.

The second photoshop for the second pic is the best I think. It makes it look like it was taken on a sunny day with much better looking colours.

For the fourth pic, the first photo shop looks too red. It looks like it's taken on a summer evening but the colour of the sky doesn't agree with that. The second one looks a little better but it still seems a bit odd to me.

I'm doing an optional unit at the moment which covers the basics of image manipulation, but considering I've only had one lecture on it, I'd take what I say with a pinch of salt.

Aye, I agree with you on Picture 4, Been messing around with it, but I cant seem to get the color just right... Still I will keep playing and see what I end up with

JCB33 - I just remembered your at Lincoln, LoL. I prolly bumped into you at some point and said hello. Prolly the shed playing pool. lol

Computer Games Production Year 1 now, but yea, i'm at Lincoln.

In fact, i'm about to go to a workshop now, all be it a few minutes late.
