**First User impressions of Leadex Superflower PSU.**

Got my Leadex 1KW platinum in yesterday, instant improvement over my ageing HX1000!!

The thing just wreaks of premium. Very happy with my purchase.

Got a 1200w version of this beastly psu sitting under my bed, ready to go in a rig im building. I don't really care about noise, what mode am I best leaving it in, for reliability.

I got the black version from OcuK a couple of weeks ago and i have to say it is a fantastic PSU. Had it up at 1275W and was still going strong as well so im guessing it can go well over its advertised specs.

hi guys i wonder when OC will be getting the coloured cables

Those cables looks nice, i have just done doing mine in paracord, some of the cables are a right pain with double wires and capacitors.

Thought I would add my 2 cents!!

I have one of these myself, a 1KW platinum beauty, bit larger then I was used to, but since this was my first 1KW PSU that explains it.

I can vouch for how silent these super flower PSUs are, not a peep and I am slowly making my pc as quiet as possible ( stilla work in progress mind you... :D)

I have had it about 5+ weeks and not a single issue, besides fitting it into my case and having to move the fan I had at the bottom of my case :D. works like a dream and has left me with plenty of left over wattage to upgrade to more GPUs and better hardware etc.

all in all from what I have experienced so far, a good buy.

But as always with any product there is at least one thing that can make it less than perfect, while the fully modular cables is a great and awesome feature, the cables supplied are very stiff and require a little force to rearrange in the system, still it just means they are more durable right? :D but since its fully modular, if you dont like the cables, buy new ones !.

Pros.

• It's white.
• It is gorgeous.
• It is silent in Eco mode.
• The cables are well finished and have a nice braid.
• 5 year warranty.

Cons.

• Lol wut? ok it is £209.99, but this is a Platinum rated high quality 1KW PSU, I see Gold rated units for similar.

I don't mean to be pedantic (it is an amazing PSU no sane person can deny that) but it does (or did when you did the review) cost 40% more than the EVGA P2 1KW which is the exact same PSU just in different casing with non LED connectors (and an extra 5 years on the warranty), so if you don't have a case window the is no reason to take it over the EVGA unit, most review sites did mention that.

Was the EVGA equivalent even available in December?

At the time I did this overview it was the cheapest 1KW Platinum rated PSU in stock and still is.

Yeah I bought one from here at the start of November, the whole thing is a mute point now as they are the same price now so unless your blind you'll go for the SF :)

I actually have one of each because by the time I needed a second the EVGA ones were out of stock and the SF's had come down in price, both amazing PSU's :)

Valid for Seasonic yes. As Seasonic don't allow any spec change for their partners, they just re-box and change the label.

But Superflower will build to your specification, whethers its an improvement or cost cutting exercise (within reason).

When I was looking for a new PSU I read quite a few reviews and a lot were saying that Seasonic use their latest tech in their own psus and the other brands made by seasonic will have older tech. At the time the Seasonic psus were the only ones I could find that would shut off the fan when idle, now a lot have this feature, so it does seem to be the case.

Also there were other little differences, like the Seasonic x-series I went for uses a sanyo denki fan which is supposed to be very quiet and I couldn't find any of the re-branded ones that used the same fan.

So the EVGA PSU's which are Superflower built, are not identical to the Leadex units, the most obvious of this is how the Superflower Leadex have glowing connectors and the EVGA does not. What other changes there is are unknown, but I know Superflower sold as their own brand is an all out premium high-end product with the absolute highest quality, with zero cost cutting taken into effect. :)

Our new big PSU like the 1200P do come for example with caps included in the cables to reduce ripple even more. The Leadex design is superb!! Another differenze is also that we do give 10 years of warranty on ours.
