Gents,

I'm looking to start my first water-cooling loop this week and order the parts, I've done some research read the stickies and managed to develop a parts list for my loop.

I wanted to ask if you could review my list and se if i have made any mistakes or there are any obvious improvements.

NOTE: the case is Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower Case and i have a number of 120mm cosair fans available. Also i'm looking for my loop to be very minimalist in design and not have any fancy LEDs or Colours etc. as i have my case out of the way under the desk.

SO here are the parts i'm looking to use;

  • PUMP/RES XSPC X2O 750 Dual Bayres/Pump (Black) V4
  • RAD XSPC RX360 120mm Radiator - Black
  • CPU Block Koolance CPU-380I Water Block (Intel Processor)
  • PSU Bridge XSPC PSU Bridging Connector (24 Pin)
  • T-Fitting XSPC G1/4" T Fitting (Black Chrome)
  • Coolant Mayhems Ultra Pure H20 Watercooling Fluid 1L x2
  • HOSE XSPC HighFlex Hose 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD, 15.9/11.1mm, 2m, Clear/UV x2
  • Fittings XSPC G1/4" to 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD Compression Fitting (Black Chrome) x10
  • Kill Coil Mayhems Fine Silver Kill Coil x4
  • VGA Block Watercool Heatkiller GPU-X³ 79X0 Ni-Bl x2
  • For Drain Koolance QD3 Female Quick Disconnect No-Spill Coupling, Barb for ID 13mm (1/2in)
  • For Drain Koolance QD3 Male Quick Disconnect No-Spill Coupling, Male Threaded G 1/4 BSPP

One question is do have is for the VGA Blocks this is any sort of connector i can get between the two or will they have to have their own separate hose connectors...

So any comments are welcome especially any suggestions for anything i have missed etc....

When building the system. take the kill coil drop them in the water bottle and leave on the side while you build the system this will help. Keep the system out of direct sun light as well when only using kill coils for the first few weeks. You need the silver ions to build up ;).

Or this Mayhems XT-1 150ml Clear Coolant £6.98 -

150ml will make upto 3 Ltrs @ 5% of premix for sub zero temps check the chart below
Mayhem XT-1 Coolant is a High Efficiency, Non-Toxic, Low Viscosity coolant based on Ethylene Glycol. This is our first foray into Glycol cooling and comes as a concentrate that needs to be mixed with water to create a premix. Only a small amount is needed per system and Mayhems XT-1 has the ability to be used with water chillers down to a staggering -50c (dependant on mixing ratios).
Mayhems XT-1 coolant is blended with patented additive that prevents Ethylene Glycol from being metabolised (during digestion) into toxic by-products. Tests carried out on Mayhems XT-1 Coolant confirmed the toxicity was so low that it was impossible to determine an LD50 value.
Mayhems XT-1 contains all the inhibitors and biocides you need and requires nothing extra in the system. Mayhems XT-1 has been tested with all our dyes so there for you can colour the liquids to meet your specific requirements and needs.
Mix Mayhems XT-1 concentrates with either Mayhems Ultra-Pure H20 or a decent brand of DI water. Mayhems XT-1 has PH balancers in the liquid. There is no need for any extras additives such as silver coils or biocide.

Synergistic corrosion inhibitors to protect metals commonly found in such systems that contain mild & stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and cast iron and plated products.
