Hi all

I'm about to do my first watercooled system, I've planned out my loop and I'm just looking for confirmation that it looks correct. The components I'm using are as follows:
  • EK Coolstream 480 PE
  • 1080 Ti Strix OC (Phantex's RGB Waterblock)
  • EK-Surpremacy EVO AMD/AM4
  • EK-XRES Revo D5 PWM (Replaced supplised res with a 250)
In the plan I've indicated when I think will require either a bend or 90 degree fitting with a blue square. In addition to checking the actual planned loop I wanted to confirm a single D5 pump is sufficient, there's a fair few 90 degree bends but from what I read on an article by EKWB it's not that much of an issue for flowrate.

Also I only have 500mm hard tubes which aren't long enough, thats the max size EK sell, is there anything wrong with using tubes of a different brand? I had wanted to stick with a single brand throughout the loop, but its either a different brand of tube or add a lot of 90 degree fittings.

Excellent thanks for confirming that.

Do you happen to know whether its ok to use different brands of hard tubes with EK fittings, for example Bitspower?

The Bitspower page says for use with their fittings only, I was already very reluctant to mix brands. I wanted to stick with EK throughout but their tubes are too short, if mixing isn't great I'll just go with the 90 degree fittings as I'd rather everything was perfect.

kk thats good to know, I was unsure if some tubing genuinely doesn't work with some fittings or if it were a marketing technique.

The fittings I've got at the moment are EK-HDC (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-hdc-fitting-12mm-g1-4-nickel-wc-586-ek.html).

I was sort of tempted to go with a EK-AF 90 degree fitting (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-af-angled-90-2f-g1-4-nickel-wc-9dr-ek.html) for each bend, when I saw the EK tubing was too short. Downside is cost would quickly mount up as there's 9 bends/corners, so that'd be 9xEK-AF as well as 2xEK-HDC per corner. I think it could look pretty cool though so may well end up going with this option.

Thanks for the advice.
