Hello,
I've got some bits n bobs here and wanted to watercool my pc being unhappy with my cooling performance.
I've got this stuff lying around ( + some extra old q-tec watercooling stuff I don't think I'll use):
I need to buy distilled/demineralized water for cooling right ? Nothing fancy ? I can just buy it in a normal shop ?
What is the correct way of mounting everything ? Do I need to get water through the ''loop'' first before actually turning on my pc ? Anything else I need to know before just mounting it ? Does the reservoir+ pump need to be a particular way up ?
I have a Coolermaster CM690, with a 3 slot gfx card, non modular psu, 7 hdd's and an ssd inside so space is sparse!
Just the cpu I want watercooled, the GPU cooler is fine and i don't see the point cooling anything else with water.
I just want my cpu to be nice and cool for a higher overclock. ( on air more than 3.5 ghz is a problem, it boots even at 4 ghz but overheats then...).
Any general tips would be appreciated.
