First WC attempt

I've got everything I need now expect a block, pump and res. I'm trying to pick a block and also decide whether i want a pump and res or a pump/res combo.

Oh right.

I've had both, I preferred the pump and seperate res. You can have the res mounted somewhere and it looks much better!

I want the new ek revo one as I've currently got an old square pump res combo.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £179.36
(includes shipping: £10.50)

Was thinking this pump and one of these Res's, I'm not missing anything out am I? Just some extra fittings to connect the two and tubing obviously?

Edit: I'm aware the clear one is currently out of stock.

Thats the one in my basket :D Just looking through picking some fittings out now. Wait till the black Friday deals start and hope I get some nice deals on this stuff.

Looks good, only thing I would personally change is get 16/10 primochill tube. Also get more than you need, few metres extra.

13/19 is very thick and the fittings themselves are on the large side. The tube on my build in my sig is 16/10. But its to your preference I guess.

I just used EK advanced compression fittings on mine with same size as the tube. And any angled fittings if you require them.

I'm sure EK do 780 Ti blocks as well. Don't know if you can get them from OCUK, but you can get them from scan if its a reference board

hi tyler_jrb - I'm looking at cooling two 980 Ti's in a custom loop. Just wondering which EK block you used - I'm guessing the Titan X block? Did you need to use any extra thermal pads to make it work with your 980 Ti's? And did you just go for the EVGA SC+ with backplate? I'm confused as to what the "reference design" EVGA 980Ti means - is it just reference design cooling, with the same PCB as the SC+?

By the way, you guys got any recommendations for fans for the rads?

I've got so many fans laying around so I doubt will work on a rad well at all.

How well do Akasa Piranha's perform if anyones got any idea? I've got like 6 of this knocking about and about 6 other random fans (some corsair ones and some antec case fans)

The Piranha's should be ok actually as they have very good static pressure. They respond well to a fan controller as well and are nice a quiet when turned down. I would certainly try them out before buying any others.

Good to hear :) Got 2 three packs of them last year when it was £5. Knew they'd be handy.

Pump/res ordered today. I'm gonna being having fun over Christmas :D
