First Website, help please

Hi all I have set my free website through http://www.gbbo.co.uk/ but I am having some problems, firstly I am trying to setup google apps so I need to verify that I own the domain but I am strugling to do this, I have tried verifying it by setting up a Google Analytics account but I dont know how to enter the script onto my website.

Can someone help me with this and also help me make the website look more profesional, many thanks.

Just a quick look and this is template based yes? If so, you may struggle to add code to it, unless there is an add html code button or similiar.

Yes it is a template, there is also a HTML edit button

right, then well google analytics will give you a code which you need to copy and paste exactly as it is and put somewhere where it will get executed every page load. Best place is in the footer code if there is some, if not then in the section between <head> and </head>. You can then verify the account

In the google control panel, there is a section to add Analytics code.

Go to your website, click "Sign In" in the footer, then you will see a new bar at the top of the website, click on "More Actions" then click on "Manage Site"

Under the Site Settings section, click General, then you just need to tick the box "Enable Google Analytics for this site" and add in your Analytics ID
