First world problem.

I now own a Palit RTX 3070 (£530) and a Zotac RTX 3080 OC (£850).

I mine Ethereum all day apart from playing Fortnite each evening. Spec below.

The 3070 is all I need for Fortnite but I can mine 50% more everyday with my overpriced 3080.

Do I sell one? Which one? Do I make a purely mining rig?

What would you do?

Me. But I also have PV cells so elec is free during daylight.

I get 63MH/s with 3070 (143W) and 98MH/s with 3080 (230W). It would be a separate system. I'd like to know 6800XT too but looking at the RAM spec I doubt it will beat 3080.

Nah you can undervolt them and dial in for great power efficiency. The CPU and RAM will be getting minimal use and a trickle of network traffic is all.

I've decided to keep both. The 3070 will just be in a dedicated rig that will just be on in the corner once it's mining. Had enough components lying around to build one up. Apart from a 650W PSU that I've got coming tomorrow for only £36. I couldn't be dealing with selling the 3070 for only £50 profit when I could be mining and it pays for itself after 2 years. Not buying 6000 series.

Looks like the 6800XT is only as good as the 3070 for mining. Video shows that even after tuning it he hits 63MH/s like my 3070!
