Fish for a non-fish eater?

blurgghhh the most overrated food known to man and not even nice, followed by caviar.

It's really nice! I like that it can be seasoned with many different ways. I find that it doesn't take much for it to be undercooked/overcooked though. A small timeframe of it being perfectly cooked.
Never like caviar though.

Swordfish steaks nomnomnom

If tuna steaks smell fishy you're doing it wrong! Grilled rare tuna steak shouldn't smell or taste fishy :p

I would say the same my wife likes fish but I don't. I have tried lots of different types and swordfish is the best one to not taste fishy.

Pth yeah a nicely marinated or seasoned salmon steak fillet on the grill is awesome.

In fact grilling fish is great full-stop, the meat soaks up so much flavour from the grill

It's awesome. Salmon sashimi is relatively cheap and really really tasty dipped in some mixed wasabi/soy.

I regard salmon as the 'cod' of non-white fish. It's a bit pricey but it's versatile and relatively tasty.

That said, I don't really rate cod or any white fish at all.

Still doesn't do it for me, I don't like the taste. It's just not good in any form and stupidly expensive due to its popularity.

Tuna (in all it's disgusting, stinky forms)

Fresh tuna doesn't smell, in fact the fishy smell associated with most sea food is only because it's usually a couple days old by the time you get it.

Fresh cod/pollock/mackeral don't smell of anything really.

Flatties are pretty good fish for unkeen fish eaters.

Personally, I can vouch for Lemon Sole and Plaice. Lovely fish and not too fishy. Stay away from Dab though as they literally taste of the sea bed.

Unsmoked Haddock might be worth a go as well. Smoked Haddock can be an acquired taste. But it's delicious with poached eggs.

Red snapper is meant to be prettty good, I've not had it personally tho.
I really like Trout.
Monkfish, different texture to most fish, batter that and have it with some nice dipping sauce?
Smoked salmon, just slices with some plain cream cheese on an onion bagel omnom
I prefer my salmon a tad undercooked, so not that plain "cooked" pink you still have stuff semi raw underneath, kinda like a rare steak lol

My favorite after a long time hatred for the stuff tho has to be squid so thats gonna be my suggestion. Wagamama if you have one local do amazin squid (well the one in newcastle does) or even a proper takeaway, salted chilli squid. Really fine batter with chilli flakes in, some nice salt on top and then maybe a little sweet chilli for dipping.

Fantastic.

Im bloody hungry now :(
