Fixed stuttery i think with verifying the cache.

Also i managed to get reasonable with catching pike in the 2nd spot on missisuri (sp)

Whereabouts were you casting on the second spot? I never seem to be able to catch much apart from snags when i try fishing there!

Casting seems automated u cant do a proper cast with a swing of your mouse you just point and click and it goes to a default spot it seems as i couldnt pull back hard and then swing forwards at all to make it go futher or where i wanted to with the mouse. When hooking fish theres not sound like a tension noise to know if your going to snap the line like in other games i have played. Its just dull quiet.

Has the gfx nailed down but apart from that the casting doesnt seem to have a swing system, audio is lacking in places, menu is a bit much for a new comer to the game. Other fishing games have been better presented. I miss the amiga fishing game i got from public domain as it was called then. It was perfect.

Yeah, the casting is crap basically, the actual process of casting and catching a fish is just bad, simple as. So basically the game is flawed as it doesn't even do the basics right, all the fluff like fishing hats etc. are great but... well Sega Bass Fishing with the controller any day of the week.
 
max cast so far is 20ft....it's kind of basic despite all the menus.

i'd rather have basic gear and menu's but a indepth river/lake system, casting and catching system with decent fish AI (if there is such a thing)

Best fishing game I played I am sure was called JR Hartleys Fly Fishing game, that was a demo on the PC and I must have been about 12/13 (so 21 years ago now :o )
 
f11 changes how u cast. Default is 20ft ish. Pressing f11 lets u cast futher out and u can change the power of the cast to determine the distance. Holding right mouse during long casting lets u see a marker u can use to more easily predict where it will land after certain power is used.
 
Well i tried this and gee its not really for anyone that is actually a real Angler.

Shame its very American. It would be nice to have a European map - Maybe it will have one in the future.
 
Found out with some help from utube how to get rainbow trout. So easy too.

Caught this and about 4-5 others about 20-25xp a piece. I cant keep em cos level 8 but i can rack up xp this way.

you need a license that is all.

the casting is just f11 to cast normally. the default is only under arm cast.

there are numerous venues to fish you have to unlock them though.
 
game seems pretty cool although it did seem boring until I hit level 3 and could start to use spinners.

float fishing seems so slow and boring compared to using spinners, get bites way faster with them and it's less confusing trying to determine when you need to strike
