Hi I'm after a little advice about my first custom loop. I currently have this card and I know that I need to use this block
YOUR BASKET
1 x KFA2 Geforce GTX 780Ti HOF 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £499.99
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-FC780 GTX HOF - White Acetal+Nickel £79.99
Total : £589.58 (includes shipping : £8.00).

But I am unsure what I need as to fittings and tubing but if possible I would like white coolant like the Mayhems Pastel Ice White http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-014-MH&groupid=962&catid=1531. It would also be ok with clear coolant and white tubing and would 1L of coolant be sufficient and would a 240mm radiator be suitable for my GPU and if possible I would like a tube res like the XSPC Photon D5 170 Here is a pic of my case with free 240mm rad space at the bottom https://www.dropbox.com/s/t9p5b05hv8y75kp/Case.jpg
Thanks

OK, fittings and tubing go together so whatever fittings size you pick you will need to same size tubing to match.

so if you go with lets say 16/11mm ID 7/16 OD 5/8fittings like http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-041-MO&groupid=962&catid=2531&subcat=2534 you will need tubing the same size ie http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=962&catid=1530&subid=1775

Then remember that you will need 2 fittings per component so 2 for the block, 2 for the rad and 2 more fo the res/pump combo so in your case 6 fittings,.

take account the way your case is set out and how you want it to be as you may need extra 90 or 45 degree fittings as well to get the tubing around at a good angle.

the Mayhems pastel coolant is good so you wont have any worries there. you will obviously need some fans for the rad and after looking at your pic i would get the corsair SP120 quiets and put the white bezel ring on them.

alway get more tubing that you think you need and IMHO get a tubing cutter as well. and yes a 240 rad is enough for a single GPU.

Ok thanks Ploppy2k3 I had seen the following pieces and just wanted to clarify on things fitting and working together and I have already ordered some SP120 fans from another E-tailer as they are out of stock here. Would 1L or coolant be enough to fill or would I need more

i would usually order more than I need as a rule anyway.

its hard to tell exactly how much you need and you have to add a bit for screw ups and spillage. end of the day would you risk being short and failing to complete your build or spend a few extra quid and be assured you have enough? its not like it goes off so you can always keep spare around for a flush and refill.

to give you an idea though I have a 270ml res, 2x480 & 1x240 rad, 2x290x block and a cpu block. that lot takes about 1.5L so you will be ok with 1L i would think as long as you dont go on any crazy tubing runs. I always order more as its works out too dear to ship on its own!
