Fitting a BNC plug

I have a coax cable coming from a security camera - connector was cut off to feed through a hole in the wall..

How do I fit the plug onto it? Been trying for a while with no luck

If I recall there are two types of coax head, ones that are crimped on which I've never been able to reuse and a screw together style which you just open and it slides apart. the ones you can open up are fairly self explainitory

Problem is odds are its gunna be a crimped one...

Normally they are crimped on. I use two tools, one strips the cable to the correct lengths and the other crimps the inner and outer to the 3 part BNC plug.

And don't forget that the strain/waterproof cover goes on first!

I managed to connect it up, just about and it works now Although doesn't look too safe
