Fitting ipad battery

Is it a doable DIY job?

My air 2 needs a new battery and Apple want £99. I can get a replacement battery and fitting kit off Amazon for £28.

bad idea or worth doing? Are they hard to take apart?

Hard to get the screen off without breaking it in the air 2 and they are expensive to replace.

Thanks. It’s getting on anyway, I might forget replacing the battery and get a new one in the new year. £99 is probably nearly as much as the ipads worth.

I would get a battery from ifixit they have a good reputation.

Just note it’s not a battery but rather iPad swap for a battery cost (as long as the battery is consumed as per apple diagnostics)
And being an Air 2 almost certainly will need to be ordered in
