Oh ok - what is the purpose of a chiller and how does it differ from normal water cooling pumps etc?
an inline chiller cools too a set temperature and takes the place of all radiators and fans.
mine can be set to 4c if I wish giving me the next level of water cooling in fact its more water chilling than cooling.

Sorry to hijack thread slightly, but I am also soon to be doing my 1st liquid cooled loop soon as well and would like a koolance quick disconnect to use as a drain. Tubing is going to be 7/16" ID but cannot find a QDC to match that size. Which size would I need?

Look for a thread I started on 16th November this year ref: Koolance Quick Disconnects, I had the same query, if you need any other advice about it post in that thread
I have 7/16th tubing and koolance QDC's...they don't make direct 7/16 versions, your only real option (besides changing tubing ID) is to get QDC's with 1/2 barbs on, heat the tubing a little and slip it over the barb - job done
Edit: Find the thread SM mentioned above, we went through many many different options with regards to QDC's and 7/16 ID tubing.
+1 for the FC5 V2, have one and love it, as many fans as I like on a single channel and it also takes temp read outs from bitspower temp sensors

Its entirely up to you if you want them or not. Do you have small kids whos fingers could get caught?
