managed to win another 6GB Patriot Viper to go with my existing Patriot Viper to give me 12GB. Problem is one of the new (used) sticks isn't working. Tried it on its own and PC wont boot. Could it be something obvious that might bring it back or is it gone completely meaning I have to now arrange a return? :(

Please note: I have tried everything to do with making it work whist in the PC. Nothing.

I can't see how there's anything you can do to fix faulty RAM.

I assume you've tried a working stick in the same slot as the "faulty" stick to rule out a problem with the motherboard?

Yea.
I have 6 sticks now. 5 work in slot 1. 1 doesnt work in slot 1 and Pc wont boot.
When all sticks are in 1 doesnt show up :(

Was just wondering if hitting it, ovening it, stamping on it etc might work?
