I've just burnt out this Seagate Barracuda HD.

Is there a way to save this, or does it need scraping?

Help please

How did you manage to do that?

cable came loose

You could go on ebay and find a used drive with the same model number as yours and swop the circuit boards over.

They are often readily available on eBay. Just the circuit board.

Good luck
