Ive had a 6month fixed term tenance, now I thought I could leave on the last day of my 6months tenancy, theyve have just rang me to arrange time to sign up for another 6months however ive been offered a job elsewhere and dont want to. there saying it could roll onto a month by month but i was suppose to give 30days notice.

I dont know what to do but I need to move out either way this week to move to new job.

Read your contract, buy yes most will automatically move you on to a rolling moths contract and you'll need to give a months notice. Not much you can do.

That's usually the way it works - I'd check your contract - my agency were pretty good in that I didn't give them much notice. At the most it will cost you a months rent so not too much of a problem?

you could have left on the last day of your 6 month agreed tenancy, but you would have had to inform them in writing that you was going to, at least 1 month before the end, not very fair on the landlord to find out his home will be empty for an unneccessary amount of time because nobody was advertising for new tenants in the run up to you vacating the house is it, you have no choice but to pay a months rent extra by law
