Fixing a 20kg TV to a metal stud dry wall

I've got an approx. 20kg TV that I want to fix to our drywall with a swing bracket. I'm wondering what fixing to use to fix directly into the metal stud. Can anyone recommend a fixing type to sit in metal stud?

I'm going to put a few secondary fixings into the plasterboard using spring toggles:

I reckon these in the plasterboard would probably hold the whole thing in place if I were to gamble on them, but I'm not gonna risk the TV (and whoever might be underneath it at the time). I want to make sure I've got some solid, primary fixings directly into the stud.

Those are a completely different thing. Gripits rely on guage size and surface area to hold weight but dont protrude past the drywall. What you linked require you to drill through into brick or breeze. Yes, one may be better than the other in one situation, but what if it's not an option?

Those are good but i wouldn't hang anything heavy/expensive on them shelves etc yes.

Tbh i wouldn't hang anything heavy at all on plasterboard i would be drilling thru into the wall behind but thats just me after daughter pulled our curtains down and completely destroyed a section of plaster board ripping huge holes into it where the fixings were.

I know plenty of people who use any number of different plasterboard fittings and have no problems tho.

I personally use these to get behind the plasterboard, used them to hang kitchen units after the builders red plugs and screws pulled out. Various sizes available etc

This. Best solution ever. I kind of went bonkers and used 6 to keep my 65" at the wall, but after being able to lift myself without any movement from the bracket, and 11 months later, still solid.
Best value is the multi size packet. Smaller ones will be a godsend for curtains.
Just remember to use slight smaller drill bits because you want a tight fit. If needed, using a screwdriver, gently spin it against the borders, circular motion, to increase the size of the newly drilled hole.

The grip it fixings are great. Simple to fit, they only need what must be 1 or 2mm space behind the board and hold true. I've used other plasterboard fixings which have ruined the board when fitted.

My only gripe would be it's hard to get some of the bits in the right size (I think the yellow ones ask for 15mm drill bits which aren't very standard... should be 16mm really).

I think you need to read back to my original post where the first thing I recommended was to drill further and use core fix.

These were the second option.

Anyway the point is that you can buy all metal fixings for 1/10th of the price of some plastic fixings which are popular because they were on dragons den.

You can literally break them using minimal force and a screwdriver. They are junk. I would trust metal over plastic for fixings any day.
