fixing audio sync in an avi????

What i meant was that you can adjust the skew of the audio in the interleave section to delay it or make it start earlier.

but the audio sync varies thoughout the file - its maybe a second behind at the start of the file but gradually goes insync (crap band :p ) and then by the end of the file its about 1/2 a second early

Try telling it to change the framerate so the audio and video are synchronised.

i don't know how to do that.

but i have made progress - i have a wav file that is in sync at the start and gradually goes out of sync - i think what i need to do is cut 1.2 seconds from the end of the audio track and stretch it.

is there an easy way of doing this? - i'm pretty new to all this stuff.

edit: hang on, i think i've done it using a program called YAAI - i'm just re-encoding it as mpeg as final test as it still doesn't work in media player but is fine in vdub now.

ok, still got problems

i used the YAAI program to adjust the audio and it seems to have worked, sort of.

it still doesn't play properly in media player but it plays ok in editing software, like vdub and tmpgenc xpress.
however, i've ried to convert it to an avi or an mpg and the resultant file has the out of sync audio - i'm not quite sure whats going on - any idea's?

thanks
