I cant be the only one!

Does anybody else have the frustrating habit of trying to make something better, when it was fine in the first place? which results in spending hours searching the internet for a way to undo all the mess you just made. In particular im refering to updating firmware of a mobile phone!

Why cant i just leave things alone?!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And even if it is broke, just ignore it and maybe it'll be sort of OK. Like the environment.

its just natural for man to do this though its encoded into our genes, many of my childhood toys were "improved" and/or "fixed" to a point where it was fit for the bin.
me with tools = trouble, even to this day.
i just like to know what makes things tick. which these days fortunatly still do after i've fettled wth them

Mmm, it is human nature to progress, to improve - even at the risk of falling backwards. Despite the annoyances, it's a very good feature.

If in doubt, throw it against the wall.

If it smashes into tiny pieces, you know it wasn't working properly.

Yup, it tends to involve walls, floors, cracks and the like with me.

Ill see a lose bit of tile, pull it up and then see a crack or sometihng and smash half the floor out only to fill it all up again, when i could have just glued the broken bit of tile back down.

The other day i pulled a radaitor off the wall and found a vent behind it, so i pulled the whole thing out including the wooden frame and half the render, so i have to make a new frame and render it all in. It was kind of a good thing since im getting the whole hallway skimmed.
