Please dont bother posting why fizzy drinks are bad for you or why you dislike them, i'm not interested.

Right, that out the way, why do we have fizzy drinks?
I mean how does putting bubbles in the drink make it taste better?
For example a flat fizzy drink tastes foul, yet with the fizz tastes lovely.
What is it about the carbon dioxide put in the drink that makes them taste different?

Cheers

The dioxyphenaline in the drink causes the aphion cells within the mouth to expand, which leads to a higher production of Hulolphate. This leads to a euphoric sensation and in some cases spontaneous combustion as a result of the higher Hulolphate.

I love google.

Think about it,would you rather drink lemonade or lemon juice :P (bad example i know)
Mainly because you forgot lemonade uses tons of sugar to make it sweet. Proper still lemonade is yummy :)

The carbonation makes drinks nice because of the bubbling, stinging sensation on the tongue. I like soda water by itself. A little sharp on the palate but quite refreshing.

Fizzy drinks are just soda water with flavoured sugary syrup.

have you ever tried flat coke ? ewww yuck !!!!, mmmm cant wait for my latest shipment of mountain dew :)

Flat fizzy drinks are better than their fizzy counterparts.. its the same sugary goodness without the bloatedness!
