FL8 demo problems

have just installed FL8 demo to have a mess around with and i seem to be gettin what can only be described as a "choppy" sort of sound when the samples are being played. Was just wondering if this was a prob with Windows 7, or could it be my old Audigy 4 even though everything else sounds ok through it. Rest of the spec is 4gb of pc8500 and 2.8 dual core athlon but in task manager the software doesnt seem to be stressing anything. Thanks in advance

Sounds like the latency for the sound card might be set too low.

Go to options > audio settings > change buffer length

rinse and repeat till the chopping stops

do you have ASIO drivers installed?
