Flash flash

If you do get a ticket, and you 100% sure you were doing 70mph (71) and it was a national speed limit of 70. Then you could contest it quite safely.

That said, it may flash, but if you weren't exceeding the limit, they may not even send you anything as they have the calibration lines on the ground which will be able to show very easily that you were below or at the speed limit.
 
I think I have read in the past that cameras can go off to recalibrate? May be complete rubbish though.

thats correct, speed camera's sometimes flash to calibrate..
speed camera's require calibrating daily..

i got flashed once in a 30 zone, i was doing dead on 30.. turned out to be camera calibrating..
