Flash game where you have to dig and collect metals etc?

I was this | | close to playing this game instead of WoW :p

It's soooo moreish (Motherload I mean).
 
Started 12 finished now O_o got one 500k upgrade, keep trying to dig really far down see if there is an end or something there, either way i can't feel my eyes.
 
What are everyones tactics ?

On my first go i tried just getting metals, then i realised that just going as far down in 1 line is the best way to go. Bought fuel tanks primarily aswell.

Is it best going down one side so you can work across ? i was going down the middle next to the fuel station.
 
I tend to go down one side as far as i can, trying to blast a clear way down, so i can get there faster next time, once i find the good stuff i just dig round for a bit, use a couple reserved fule things (on the 100k tank) and then use the teleporter to take me to the surface and repeat.

I didn't have a decent ship, but got down like 3000m, then had all my (3rd upgrade) cargo filled with platinium, einstinium and the other high one. Had just found a relic +50,000, my matter transported didn't work for some reason, and I ran out of fuel at -300 :(
 
In inventory it had "x1", or is there a bug? Assumed I had saved before I had used it yesterday.

Not sure if it was matter transporter, but it was the cheapest one. Kept pressing/holding the button since I was on the stage with the circle of fuel getting smaller in diameter (2l left ish) and knew I couldn't reach the surface.
