Flash Player woes

I'm using the latest Firefox, with the latest Flash Player.

I'm having the following problems:

Sound echo using iPlayer
Massive FPS drop when gaming and running Flash Player

Does anyone have any workarounds / solutions / problems of their own?

Oddly, IE seems okay. So it's something with Firefox.

I'd rather not switch to IE though, if anyone has any ideas on how to control Firefox's resource hogging that would be cool.

Failing that, I'll try FF4 beta tonight, see if that helps.

It's not FF's fault. Flash is just crap. Uninstall flash player (for ff) and reinstalling.

The hardware acceleration did seem to work afterall, just needed a reboot.
