I paid a visit yesterday to someone experiencing problems with Flash player. Some websites, including “you tube” issues a message to download latest player, which I did and it said it updated.

However, no matter what I try it still comes asking for the latest Flash player message.

According to the version during the install process, the current version installed is 9.0.124.0 (which I believe is the latest).

I’ve checked the internet options for activex and java options but no luck.

I’ve also ran CCleaner just to flush the system.

Any idea what could be going on here?

Thanks

Huddy

Are they using internext explorer? FF has extensions that blocks scripting etc. unless told otherwise, or maybe they have some alnti-malware software that has done similar

I turned off Panda and reset the Internet security settings to default. Then made sure all the activex and Java options where enabled.

I'll certainly give the links above a try.

If it's a vista pc, try grabbing the uninstaller from adobe and clean it all in safe mode.

Installing the standalone installer – right-click and run as administrator.

I'm having the same trouble with FF3, done a clean install of XP, then installed FF3 and I can't see any flash website, it keeps asking me to download the plugin, I've installed it stand alone but it still wont work, any ideas?
