What's safest using the flashback feature, or the usual method of going into the bios selecting the file, seeing it updating onscreen then flashing it that way?

Updating in the bios is fine and should be used for normal updates imo

Whilst I'm sure flashback is safe it's generally meant as an oh **** feature so you can recover from a failed flash or to flash without a compatible CPU.

Hardest part about flashback on my board was finding a USB stick that worked, had to be a USB2 if i remember correctly.

If you are up and running you may as well do it from within bios.

Never do it from within Windows.
