What's safest using the flashback feature, or the usual method of going into the bios selecting the file, seeing it updating onscreen then flashing it that way?
Never attempt to update the BIOS from within Windows. That is asking for trouble in my experience.
Friends computer only has windows util, no option to flash in bios itself.

Mite still be able to update it, make and model of pc or download cpuz and it should tell you motherboard model.A computer from high street store.

Oh well at least you've tried to find a solution.It's a non standard board, and has PC name brand on it (not asus etc)
