really enjoyed this, was hoping for something different in the end as pretty much everything ended like we saw in the flash forward, expect the scientist and FBI agents wife had their clothes on.


real shame theres no S2, cant believe its got axed when there is so much crap on the tv atm.

This seems to be about right. Remove a lot of the filler material then they could have the basis of a good film trilogy
 
I always said FlashForward would have probably worked better as a mini-series rather than a full season. Say about ten or so episodes, cut down on all of the filler and standing around looking puzzled and/or angry.

I think ABC were trying to hype it up as a Lost replacement but I don't see how the story could have gone on to be honest.
 
I thought it was an ok series - stopped watching them after the mid-season break but caught up with them again. The last episode was a bit weak though.

You could see they were writing in elements to extend the series (the final dateline mentioned in the forked paths episode) and the other flashforwards, so could've seen this going on another few series, writing permitting.

Was thinking about getting the book but read an overview of it and it seems a bit waffly!

Hehe I got the book as a gift and read it quickly, it bears almost no resemblance to the tv show at all.

In the book its all set in Switzerland at CERN, there is no FBI, no somalia terrorists, no guy trying to track down his daughter, no nasty bad guys, no suicidal doctor, no double agents and the blackout was effectively a natural cause rather than a man made one, probably 90% of the characters from the tv show arent in it. As far as I could tell essentially the only similarity about them was that they both had the words Flash and Forward in their titles :)
