Anyone got a guide or can talk me through this. Fornowagain sent me some links yesterday but I seem to have lost them. If anyone could let me know how to go about it I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Grab the latest version of nibitor from http://www.mvktech.net (I think its version 4 now) import (tools-> read BIOS -> select device, then read into nibitor) your cards current BIOS (and back it up just incase) - then go to the voltages tab and change the 3D option (might need to set extra as well/instead depending on the card) to 1.1 from the drop downlist - save it out...

Then you need a bootable floppy or USB pen with DOS on it - copy the updated BIOS to there along with a copy of nvflash and you should be able to just use the command nvflash <newbiosfilename.bin> when you've booted up from the dos disk - if that doesn't work then you'll need a couple of command line options for nvflash.

Think the info in the link I posted was prolly stolen from that [H] link heh but I couldn't find it on [H] at a quick glance.

Well the flash didn't actually help my OC one bit :(

Maybe my card was always running @ 1.1 to start with?

Not sure, core has left me unimpressed but my memory has done really well.

Oh well.

What version of the card did you get? If it was a Superclocked version or something like that then it quite possibly could have been at 1.1V already.

Nah it was just a bog standard POV. Not OC'd AFAIK?

It was @ 600 Core to start with?

I have a gut feeling it was already at 1.1v which is why the memory did so well before the flash. That would explain it anyway. Back to clocks in sig :p

Another thing to note I did not see any heat increase at all really. I'd expect more jiggawatts to at least push it near 10c up.

the vmod doesn't seem to increase temps with the 8800GT...

If it was already running 1.1 then it would/should have had that option selected in the pulldown boxes for either 3D or extra already...

did you change just one of the voltages or both 3D and extra?

I've tried changing both Rroff and then even messed about with voltage 1-4 in the VID

It just isn't budging one bit from clocks in sig. Ask Fornowagain he knows of my troubles :D.

I think it's after more volts or better cooling although temps don't go above 72c load.

Oh well, only a stop gap card anyway, it's plenty fast at these clocks :D
