Hello,

Would anyone be able to inform of anything else I may need to do post BIOS flashing?

I have an MSI p67-gd65, I have never flashed the BIOS since new and have just ordered a zotac AMP 1070. I was advised in another thread that I will most likely need to update the BIOS.

The most recent update was in 2013, which is expected as it's holding a 2500k.

Am I likely to lose oc settings too?

Regards and thanks in advance!

You will loose all your settings so write them down or take photos of the bios, you will also need a usb flash drive to put the bios.

You dont have to flash the bios before you get your new gpu as it may work without doing so, but if it doesnt then update the bios.

Try the card first. If you just get a black screen then you need to flash the bios. If you get a picture, leave it alone. Be warned that should you flash the bios there is a high chance of bricking the board. MSI boards, especially of that generation and earlier are highly prone to bios flash failures no matter which method is used. It is one of the reasons that I will not touch MSI motherboards.

yeah i've read quite abit about flashing this board, but most successful attempts are with the MFLASH facility, the method i'll be using. If I need to flash it i'll try and if it's bricked i'lll have to purchase something new.

I've also seen quite a few people successfully use the card with the mobo, so i'll keep my fingers crossed!
