Hi

Im trying to flash my BIOS using the Gigabyte Q Flash utility. Ive got the BIOS image on my USB drive (FAT32), however when the flash utility reads the image i get an error message saying "Invalid BIOS image"

I dont know what im doing wrong, ive never flashed a BIOS before but have looked up on how to do it for my board. Can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

Motherboard is on my sig, its not the B3 version. Current BIOS is F2, want to update to F8

Thanks

did you extract it to desktop and drag the .bin file to the usb stick?

try downloading it from gigabyte.us site, and try one bios lower if it wont flash

Forgot to add.

When i flashed the BIOS using @BIOS i did disable Anti-Virus as it said but not Hyperthreading, although everything updated fine and so far so good, but im a little worried?

Should i be?

Thanks

i had the same error message when i put the bios onto a flash drive.i downloaded from the gigabyte site and was sorted,i had read on other sites that @BIOS is a definate no no,it might work once but is not a good idea, always use qflash.

I also downloaded it from the Gigabyte site, and downloaded again just to be sure, same problem, i had no choice. @BIOS worked fine i dont believe there is any problems with it?

Also im getting a hint that maybe i should re-flash my BIOS using Q-Flash, should i or just leave it alone now?

Thanks
