Hi guys need a bit of help. I have a GTX 260 probaby 8 months old. It has a very nice OC on it and its ran like this fine for 8 months. Now i have notices the graphics on games have started to flash. On borderlands some background objects will flash and on crysis the sky will flash. On Dragon age it flashes on cut scenes.

Its quite subtle but annoying. The card is not overheating. Highest was 73c (i think) I have slightly lowerd the OC but its still happening. Before i remove the OC completely does anyone have any ideas?

Games dont lock up or artifact.

Have you tried installing the latest drivers? Any chance you could take a screenshot of said flashes?

Could be a driver issue, once you get into the 190+ drivers they are reportedly a bit crap. There are quite a few people getting problems with Borderlands with graphics, (the current guestimate is its something to do with the new drivers identifying the wrong shader clockrate)

I thought my graphics card was dying (need to update that post). With mine the screen goes completely grey, and you have to actually switch off the machine are restart it to fix the card, a simple reset does not work.

UPDATE

I removed the OC back to stock and the flashing went. Its strange that the OC was on my card for a few months and just now it starts to mess up. Gues that OC has shortened its life a bit
